Kindness of Strangers

Yes, it is still raining. We are talking over 48 hours of this down pour!
With all this rain it got us thinking about the garden. We have not yet planted anything, so we made a trip to the local nursery to see if we could find anything. Cooper was decked out in his raincoat and rain boots. It was good thing since he manged to find every puddle there was and jump right in the middle of it. But the look on his face was pure joy as water was dripping from his nose and his pants are soaked.
As we were checking out Cooper made his way over the popsicle cooler where there was a teenage girl trying to decide what one she wanted and what one her mom wanted. She started to talk to Cooper and he was enchanted. Then it was time for us to go and of course he wanted a popsicle too. We said, "No," since we were headed home and have several popsicles at home. He came walking back like we had just ruined the best day ever. Then in the parking lot we heard someone call, "Little boy" Cooper turns around and there is the teenage girl with a popsicle. Cooper was smiling from ear to ear and said, "Thank you." It was so sweet of this mom and daughter to think of Cooper, it just reaffirms my believe that there are kind and generous people in the world who care about others. Now it is our turn to pass it along.
