Halloween lasted for two weeks at the Meyer household, with birthday parties, pumpkin carving and several times trick or treating. Here are some of the highlights.
Treatsylvania is put on by the city of Fort Collins. Local business sponsor a door and these doors are set up at the local farm, where kids can go from door to door trick or treating.

Of course the night that we have tickets is the night that it rains. Cooper wanted to be a dinosaur but because of the rain we talked him into being a firefighter, since the jacket was water proof and he has fireman galoshes. The costume worked out perfect because it kept him dry and warm. This was the beginning of the end of the dinosaur costume.

Knock-Knock Tick or Treat

Had to get a picture in front of the fire station door.

Cooper was able to wear his dinosaur costume the next day when we went to Ali's birthday party.

Kids made each other turn into a mummy with toilet paper but they had way more fun taking apart the mummies.

Cooper and all the neighborhood girls eating smores. Cooper asked for his "shmarshmallow" with no fire.

One of my coworker's husband is a high school teacher at Rocky Mountain High School that is two blocks away from the school that I teach at. Their student council puts on a Trick or Treat street for kids. So we took the kids to Chick-fil-A for dinner then hit the halls of Rocky.

Fishing was Cooper's favorite activity of the night. He thought it was like his fishing pole at home that he can just wing it so we had to tell him to take it easy because there was someone behind there.

Taylor, Cooper and Caleb waiting for the others to catch up. They were on a mission to get some candy.

He was all smiles till his hands got all slimy, then we had to take over the cleaning part.

"Finishing up the smile" after daddy cut it.

Cooper and his pumpkin.

Cooper lost interest in carving so out came Mr. Potato head parts.

Jake and I went to a 1920s surprise birthday party for our neighbor and friend Jay. It was a fun time and it was crazy to see the whole bar dressed in the 20s.

Halloween was such a nice day the dinosaur costume would have been great, only if Cooper would agree. As you can see he was not to happy to be a dinosaur. (All I wanted was a picture and this was the best I could get.)

Fireman Cooper filling up his bucket. We made it two blocks before his bucket was full and we headed back home to hand out candy.
I think he liked handing out candy more. Cooper would wait at the door and yell when someone was headed up the walk so the kids didn't even get to ring the door bell. He liked handing out candy and most of all seeing all the costumes.
We had a great Halloween and hope you got more treats then tricks.
