First Love

Cooper goes to an in home daycare called Allmost Home, about 4 blocks from where I work. Aunt Kay, as Cooper calls her, has been running her daycare for over 26 years and loves each one of the kids as her own, we couldn't ask for a better home away from home for Cooper. Kay has help from daughter, Ashley, her daughter-in-law, Kelly and niece Jennifer. Out of all them them Cooper loves Ashley the best. When I pick him up at the end of the day I ask him what he did for the day and he always tells me, "Play with Ashley." I then ask him about the rest of his day, the singing, the playing and craft time and he always has something to say, but when I ask him what the best part of his day was he always says, "Playing with Ashley."

Well, Ashley got married yesterday and we were invited to the the wedding. We were a little afraid that Cooper would follow Ashley down the aisle, but just as we were about to walk in to the church Aunt Kay spotted Cooper and took him to the back to give Ashley a hug and a kiss. Cooper was a little sad at the reception because he kept losing sight of Ashley. He kept asking, "Where's Ash?" But we ended on a good note with cake and a dance with his first love.
