I wanted Cooper to be a cowboy for Halloween because he loves Woody in the movie Toy Story, but that was my mistake because I now have a 2 year old who now has his own opinion. When I brought the cowboy costume home Cooper took one look at it and said "No" and walked away. So Jake took Cooper to the store so Cooper could pick out what he wanted to be for Halloween. Cooper picked a blue Triceratops and carried it out of the store, good sign right! Well, when they got home we tried to put the costume on Cooper and he screamed and cried, not so good since we were headed to Treatsylvania the next day.
We took Cooper to Treatsylvania, a safe place for kids to trick-or-teat. Local companies paint wooden doors and set them up at The Farm so kids can go from door, to door, to door to trick-or-treat. There is even hay rides and a pumpkin patch. We brought Triceratops and a change of clothes just in case. It helped that other kids were walking by in their costume as we changed Cooper in the car. We got the costume on without tears and we even got the head piece on!
Half way through Cooper got the hang of knocking on doors and saying "Trick-or-Treat." Now he is carrying his pumpkin bucket around and asking to be Triceratops so he can go trick-or-treating. Good thing we have more Halloween event to go to.
