Doctor Visit

On Friday we took Cooper to Dr. P for his 3 year wellness check. I was thinking we would be in and out of this appointment since Cooper doesn't have to get any more shots till he is 5. I even made plans with 3 other families to meet up for dinner.
Dr. P talked to us and then asked Cooper some questions then it was time for the exam. All was going well till Dr. P checked Cooper's right ear. Cooper has an ear infection, we don't know how long it has been there since Cooper has not been complaining. Dr. P was surprised that Cooper was in such a good mood because he ear was really bad. Dr. P asked Cooper to point to the ear that hurts and sure enough he pointed to his right ear. The doctor asked if his left ear hurt and he said, "No." Jake and I are standing there feeling like the world's worst parents, our child has been in pain for how long and we didn't know it! So I told Cooper, "If your ear hurts you need to tell mommy and daddy." Guess what his response was, "Mommy, my ear hurts."
So we got a prescription, then headed to Target to get it filled. Since Cooper was in such a good mood even after he took his medicine we kept our dinner date even though we showed up 2 hours late. Cooper had a fun time running around with all the other kids, while Jake and I were able to enjoy dinner with some good friends.
