Saturday started out in Sterling for Jake's 20 year high school reunion. He had a good time connecting with old friends. While in Sterling we took in the Logan County Fair Parade and the Logan County Fair.

Of course Cooper finds the train!
(His head is peeking through the window)

Our own engineer.

Cooper got to pet lots of animals. The pigs were his favorite.
Notice the rock in his hand, he entered a rock rolling contest. (Got to love small town fairs) He didn't win the contest but would not leave the rock behind.
From Sterling we made our way to my Aunt Dee Dee's and Uncle Abbie's house in Denver for a Lucero family BBQ. We always get together for one last bash before my dad leaves for another school year overseas.

Water guns are a tradition at my Aunt Dee Dee's house.

This is where the trouble started, when the adults joined in with buckets.
My uncle and brother where chasing each other and Cooper wanted in on fun and ended up getting knocked over. He ended up with a shiner, there were tears shed but more tears shed because we made him sit out till we got a band-aid on his scratch.

Then he was right back at it.

The Lucero Family
